Roseland Waterpark – Roseland Waterpark is the largest waterpark in the Finger Lakes Region with 56 acres of aquatic adventure for the entire family.  Sparkling heated water, J. Ellis & Associates certified lifeguards, free parking, rental lockers, concessions and plenty of deck space for relaxing make this the hottest spot to get cool on Canandaigua Lake.

Canandaigua Art Festival – Over 100 artists, crafters, food vendors and sponsors gather on Main Street in Canandaigua for this annual rite of summer.

Watkins Glen State Park– is in Western New York in the village of Watkins Glen, at the southern tip of Seneca Lake. Watkins Glen contains several small waterfalls, and is a really amazing place especially for those who like the sight and sound of rock and water.

New York has many beautiful water falls, many are within an hour of Potter.

The Rochester Museum and Science Center – A museum and science center with three floors of hands-on, interactive exhibits in science & technology, natural science, and regional cultural heritage. Strasenburgh Planetarium
 – The Strasenburgh Planetarium, presenting giant-screen films on the four-story dome, original astronomy/star shows, and spectacular rock music laser light shows. The Challenger Learning Center, a service of Monroe BOCES #1, is located at the Planetarium.

The Seneca Park Zoo – Located Rochester. Through the exhibition of animals in naturalistic settings, the Seneca Park Zoo will provide engaging and educational experiences to give our community the motivation and skills to act as stewards of the environment.

The Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion  is a 40 room Queen Anne style mansion surrounded by incredible flower gardens and landscaping.  A must see for the green thumb.

Fingerlakes racetrack Since 1962, Finger Lakes has been the premier venue for live thoroughbred racing in Western New York.

Genesee Country Village and Museum In season, Genesee Country Village & Museum features costumed interpreters in restored historic buildings, breathing life into an authentic 19th-Century Country Village. It is one of the largest living history museums in the country, located just outside of Rochester, NY.

Niagara Falls is only a 2 hour and a half hour drive from Potter taking the NYS Thruway and interstate roads near Buffalo.  If you’ve never been, you should go!

National soaring museum In Elmira, The NSM is an aviation museum working to preserve the history of motorless flight. Stop in and see a multitude of gliders on display, try out computerized flight simulators, and participate in fun educational programs.
